New features added to MustWin Now

Change log and development updates

MustWin Now is a cloud app. We can add new features without you having to install or do anything. And we take requests. While we have crossed off some items, we've also added some. We currently have 57 tasks in our development queue, including some amazing items I wish I could discuss. I can show some items that at the top of the queue.

Some items at the top of our development queue:

  • The theme is streamlined, faster workflow. Now that we've met our functionality goals, most of what we have at the top of the queue relates to doing things faster and saving clicks.
  • RFP setup and entry streamlining: We're building a new way to get the RFP into MustWin Now. It will be a lot faster and potentially reduce the click count by 75%!
  • Consolidation of Pursuit Capture Form steps. Answering the questions and generating instructions for future proposal writers are currently sequential steps. We're going to combine those steps for a more streamlined workflow.
  • Improved accessibility of the proposal recipe library. UI changes to facilitate directly inserting items from our proposal recipe library into your content plans.
  • Tool switcher. This is a convenience item. It will enable you to jump straight to a (most likely previous) tool if you need to make changes or look something up. You can already switch tools, but this feature will save some clicks.
  • Split RFP item streamlining. This is a UI improvement to make it quicker to split a single RFP item into parts. This is something else you can currently do, but the changes will save some clicks.
  • Launch Proposal Input Forms as a separate tool. Currently proposal input forms are treated as a type of Pursuit Capture Form. You can currently access them. We're going to make them their own tool because those starting at RFP release might want to turn the Pursuit Capture Forms off and just have the Proposal Input Forms. For some this will simplify the UI.

December 2019 change log:

  • RFP Item and proposal section header improvements: Minor tweaks to clean up the layout.
  • Proposal Writer's Tool (Phase 1): Added a new tool to the dashboard. This one is for proposal writer's to use after Proposal Content Plan completion. It creates a simplified, read-only view of the Content Plan. The goal for Phase 1 is to have an easy UI for proposal writers. Proposal Managers can deal with the complexity of the compliance matrix, but writers should be able to just focus on writing. In a future Phase 2, this tool will get assignment progress reporting and collaboration tools and become a work space that turns proposal development into a process of elimination with "at a glance" dashboard situational awareness.

November 2019 change log:

  • Multi-user subscriptions improvements: We modified the PropLIBRARY subscription model so that people can have as many users as they choose and manage them through the User Administration tab on your dashboard. You can also add or delete them at anytime. Not only that, but consultants can add multiple companies and use this to use MustWin Now with multiple clients. In the future, they'll be able to offer customized content and things like branded pursuit capture forms that will only be accessible to their clients. The technology is flexible and supports multiple different business and process models. Contact us for more information if you are a consultant.

October 2019 change log:

  • Maintenance and security updates: Made code improvements, but added no new features.

September 2019 change log:

  • Single users: Can now skip steps that require multiple users.
  • Navigation: Made MustWin Now accessible via the PropLIBRARY main menu. This is much faster and more convenient since it’s visible from anywhere on the site.
  • Navigation: Added buttons to advance to the next tool. Saves you a couple of clicks and keeps you in the workflow. Every click counts.
  • User interface: Added the MustWin Now banner and changed the view to focus on the current proposal.
  • Support: Added a setting so you can allow Tech Support to see your pursuits. We can’t see your proposals unless you invite us in.
  • Added new payment method. Makes it easier to add users for companies that want to get the most out of MustWin Now. See the subscription page for details. We can migrate current subscribers, but we have to do it manually. It only makes sense to migrate if you want to add users, but we'll be glad to do it if you send a request.
  • User request: Added feature to clone pursuits. Set up a baseline RFP, compliance matrix, and even content plan and now you can clone it. It’s useful for training and possibly proposals that always start from the same point.
  • Content planning tool: Modified first step to show “No answers provided” when no Pursuit Capture Form input is received. This is better than a blank screen.
  • Content planning tool: Added links from RFP text back to the Compliance Matrix tool. This is rarely needed but nice to have.
  • Content planning tool: Made the instruction entry field wider so you can see more.
  • Content planning tool: Changed the RFP full text expanding banners default so that they open displayed instead of hidden.
  • RFP entry: Allow RFP heading numbers to duplicate when they are different requirement types.
  • Fixed bug: Removed message "Validate this section is entered and linked correctly:" from appearing in content plans when not on a validation step.
