If you want us to roll up our sleeves and work on your proposal, we have to switch to an hourly rate. We have to estimate the level of effort for what you need. And there might be a Non-Disclosure Agreement, a Consulting Agreement, and Invoicing to discuss and implement. It's both more complicated and more expensive, but we're more than willing to apply our expertise to helping you produce a great proposal.

Getting set up is when things go fast and furious for proposal planning. If your proposal is longer than a 30 day effort, large, complex, and a high-value must win, then 2-3 weeks could make sense. But if you're working on a quick turnaround proposal or just need a little help getting started, one week should be perfect.
