Monday, 21-April-2019

  • John is presenting a review of the Rapid Proposal Writing presentation (review for the mid-term exam in Week 6) on Monday at 9:00 AM ET - 10:00 AM ET
  • The ORAU RFP and DOE final RFP have both been released - see below for links. We will be reviewing the RFP and planning our next steps on Monday. Our first major milestone will be the Pink Team Review. 
  • Deadlines for the measles charts and graphic storyboards with a graphic might be extended based upon the unexpected release of the final RFP. We'll discuss in the war room on Monday morning. 

Tuesday, 22-April-2019

  • 5.1 Module Proposal Launch to Pink Team presentation, which will facilitate our discussion of next steps for final RFP planning
  • Content plans, measles charts, storyboard graphics, and one draft graphic are due by 26-May-2019 at 5:00 PM ET

Wednesday, 23-April-2019

  • Prioritizing completing content plans by back-scheduling milestones, events, and activities
  • Live demonstration of how to use the content plan, outcomes table, and measles chart together to complete your content plan draft 
  • Work day for remainder of the day (content plans, measles charts, recipe box of win themes, discriminators, differentiators, features, benefits, graphics, active voice, and proof points)

Thursday, 25-April-2019

  • Class starts at 10:00 AM ET and is a half-day (optional remote work in afternoon)
  • Continue working on assignments
  • Introduction to Daily Standups - and the first daily standup, which occur every Monday through Friday from 11:45 AM ET - 12:00 PM ET until 31-Apr-2019

Friday, 26-April-2019

  • Friday is a half-day in the war room (optional remote work in afternoon)
  • Continue working on assignments
  • Content plans, measles charts, storyboard graphics, and one draft graphic are due (post to your Week 5 Writer Folder) by 26-May-2019 at 5:00 PM ET

  • Week 5 Quiz - there is a quiz this week, which you can access here. You have three attempts to complete this 10-question quiz, which takes its content from two guides on win themes and using past performance to differentiate your company, both located here
  • Week 5 Discussion - There is no discussion this week.

  • The ORAU RFP and final DOE ORISE solicitations have been released (ORAU's RFP is posted here and DOE's RFP is posted here on the AES client SharePoint portal).

  • Conduct a proposal impact assessment as a result of the final RFP being released
  • Understand how to finalize a proposal plan
  • Understand how to finalize a publications / production plan
  • Know how to plan the proposal to achieve the first major milestone: The Pink Team Review
  • Understand how to develop content plans, measles charts, graphic storyboards, and draft graphics for a "strategy alignment" pink team
  • Review modules for the mid-term exam
  • Understand what proposal daily standup meetings are and how they are critical in tracking status and activities

To Do List:

  • Read the ORAU RFP and the final DOE ORISE RFP
  • Attend the scheduled training modules
  • Participate in proposal and production planning
  • Complete assigned tasks and the quiz by the scheduled deadlines (we'll complete our action item register, assignments, and deadlines as part of proposal planning)
  • Complete content plans, measles charts, storyboard graphics, and one draft graphic are due (post to your Week 5 Writer Folder) by 26-May-2019 at 5:00 PM ET
