  1. This is great. Set the dial on compliance where you think it needs to be set to win. If you really have a chance of being thrown out, give yourself a margin of safety in your dial-setting. You covered it all above, but I'll just add, when you have someone on the proposal team that is enamored with strict compliance, it is a buzz-kill and you just have to deal with it respectfully. ๐Ÿ˜‘
  2. I remember when I first read your guidance to never describe anything in a proposal, always explain. I think you used "never" and "always," but if you did not, I submit never and always is true for that guidance. Learning that from you has been a big help in my proposal writing. ๐Ÿ‘Š

For #7, Have a process, the best way to prove you have a process to become a great proposal writer is to work with a proposal manager who develops exceptional Proposal Content Plans. If you are fulfilling both roles, your best process is for you, as the Proposal Manager, to develop a great Proposal Content Plan before you go into the Proposal Writer role.
